The opportunity

n

This is a full-time, onsite role based at our Burpengary East headquarters, five days a week.

n

We are a hands-on operating business and believe there is enormous value in working closely together, understanding what is happening across the operation and solving problems collaboratively.

n

You won't simply produce monthly accounts.

n

We want someone who is naturally curious,



loves getting deep into the numbers and can turn financial and operational data into meaningful commercial insight.

n

You'll work closely with management to understand what is happening, why it is happening and what we should do about it.

n

What you'll be doing

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Management reporting and detailed analysis of business performance
n
- Budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
n
- Product, customer, channel and margin profitability analysis
n
- Manufacturing cost and operational performance analysis
n
- Inventory, working capital and cash flow analysis
n
- Identifying trends, risks and commercial opportunities
n
- Developing KPIs, dashboards and management information that drive better decisions
n
- Working directly with operational and commercial leaders to understand the financial drivers behind performance
n
- Improving financial reporting, systems and processes
n
- Supporting investment decisions, business cases and strategic initiatives
n

As EvaKool grows, we expect the scope and influence of this role to grow with it.

Who we're looking for

n

There are a couple of backgrounds that could fit this role particularly well.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- Approximately 2+ years' experience in public practice, giving you strong accounting disciplines and technical foundations
n
- A CA or CPA qualification, or be well progressed toward completion
n
- Followed by approximately 2+ years in either:n n
- a highly analytical Management Accountant, Commercial Accountant, Finance Analyst or similar role within an operating business; or
n
- an analytical consulting role involving financial analysis, modelling, business performance, commercial problem-solving or decision support
n

n
- Excellent analytical ability and financial modelling skills
n
- Advanced Excel capability and confidence working with substantial amounts of financial and operational data
n
- Robust commercial instincts and an ability to connect the numbers with what is actually happening in the business
n




- The ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
n
- Intellectual curiosity and a natural desire to understand why
n
- The confidence to challenge assumptions and contribute your own ideas
n
- A proactive approach and desire to continually improve how things are done
n

We're less concerned about your exact current job title and much more interested in how you think.

n

You may currently be a Management Accountant, Commercial Analyst, Finance Analyst, Business Analyst or analytically focused Consultant.

n

You'll probably be relatively early in your career but already know you want to go further than traditional accounting.

You enjoy analysis and solving problems. You want to understand how a business actually makes money, gain exposure to senior management and commercial decision-making, and progressively take on greater responsibility.

For the right person, this role can develop from management accounting into broader commercial finance, business performance, strategy and ultimately financial or commercial leadership.
