Electrical Tradesperson or 2nd/3rd/4th Year Apprentice

Huzgroup Air & Electrical is seeking a motivated and qualified electrician to join our growing team on a full-time basis.

n

The successful applicant will initially be involved in a commercial high-rise refurbishment project, while also completing a varied mix of domestic, commercial and industrial electrical work throughout Cairns and the surrounding region.

n

The position is primarily based in Cairns and surrounds, with occasional remote work in locations such as Lakeland, Cooktown and Cape York. Experience installing and servicing split-system air conditioners would be highly regarded.

About the Role

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Completing electrical installations across commercial, industrial and domestic projects.
n
- Undertaking electrical maintenance, fault-finding and repairs.
n
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical faults.
n
- Working independently and as part of a team.
n
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
n
- Using cloud-based job management and reporting systems.
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Current Queensland electrical mechanic licence.
n
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
n




- Ability to work autonomously and manage tasks efficiently.
n
- High-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
n
- Current manual driver's licence.
n
- Willingness to undertake occasional remote work.
n
- Experience installing split-system air conditioners is preferred.
n
- Confidence using mobile apps and cloud-based software.
n
- A reliable, motivated and team-focused attitude.
n
