About the Role
n
Your primary role will be to deliver detailed structural engineering design across a diverse range of projects. This position would suit an engineer who enjoys working across temporary works, residential building design and commercial building projects.
n
This is a hands-on role in a growing consultancy where your work will directly contribute to the development of the business and the team around you.
n
The role offers plenty of room for growth and development,

The right candidate will be comfortable working in a small team environment, taking ownership of their work and operating semi-autonomously with support where required.

Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead structural engineering design for residential homes and commercial buildings
n
- Temporary works design for construction projects
n
- Managing projects from concept through to construction
n
- Preparation of engineering calculations and design documentation
n
- Preparation and review of drawings using Bluebeam and Revit
n
- Daily communication with clients, builders and project stakeholders
n
- Site inspections and construction-phase support as required
n
- Assisting with the training and mentoring of graduates and design engineers
n
- Work closely with the Director on project delivery, design decisions, and technical direction
n
- Reviewing designs and providing technical guidance to junior engineers
n
n
Qualifications and Experience
n
n
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
n
- Approx 4-6 years' experience in structural engineering
n
- Experience in temporary works, residential and/or commercial building design
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
n
- Sound understanding of Australian Standards and structural design principles
n
- Australian driver's licence, as site visits may be required
n
- Permanent working rights in Australia
n
