Role Description The Cabinetry Painter role at Jemmervale Designs is a full-time, on-site position based in Shepparton, VIC. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing timber and cabinetry surfaces for finishing, applying 2 Pack Polyurethane paints and other finishes, ensuring consistent colour and finish quality across all products ready for installation. The role involves reading and following job specifications, mixing and matching paints or stains, maintaining painting equipment, and keeping the work area clean and safe. The Spray Painter will collaborate with workshop team members to meet production and installation schedules, perform quality checks, and handle minor touch-ups or repairs as needed.

Qualifications

- Experience with surface preparation techniques, including sanding, cleaning, and priming timber and other materials.
- Proficiency in applying 2 Pack Polyurethane paints, stains, and clear coats using spray equipment.
- Knowledge of coating properties, drying times, and safe handling of paints, solvents, and related materials.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistent colour, finish, and quality standards.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety practices in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and follow job instructions, production schedules, and basic technical specifications.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift materials, and work in a hands-on workshop setting.
- Previous experience in cabinetry painting, furniture finishing, or a related trade is highly desirable.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a small team.
