HD Mechanic - Perth Based

Great team environment Genus is seeking an experienced Workshop Mechanic to join our Fleet team based in Kenwick, WA.

n

- Monday to Friday
n
- Kenwick-based workshop role (home every night)
n
- Immediate start for the right candidate
n

n

This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance and reliability of a diverse fleet of plant and equipment across major projects.

n

We are offering flexibility with either a Monday to Friday roster.

n

- Competitive hourly rate

- Work with a well-established team supporting major mining clients (FMG, Rio Tinto)
n
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of fleet and plant
n
- Diagnose mechanical faults and perform breakdown repairs
n
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections
n
- Ensure all work is completed to safety and compliance standards
n
- Complete job cards, service reports,



and maintenance records accurately
n
- Liaise with workshop team and fleet coordinators to ensure asset availability
n
- Truck-mounted EWPs
n
- Cranes (VLC & crane borers)
n
- Frannas
n
- Rigid and prime mover trucks
n
- Earthmoving equipment (excavators 5–35t)
n
- Drill rigs (T45, Soilmec, IMT)
n
- Light vehicles (Hilux, Prado)
n
- Trade qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic
n
- Experience working on heavy plant and mobile equipment
n
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
n
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
n
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety
n
- Relevant Trade Qualification
n
- Current Driver's Licence (HR desirable)
n
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & National Police Clearance
n
- Solid understanding of maintenance and compliance requirements
