Senior Civil Engineer (RPEQ)

Northlane Consulting Engineers is looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to take ownership of diverse civil infrastructure projects across Queensland, from design through to construction.

n

This is a hands-on senior role where you'll make technical decisions, work directly with clients and contractors, mentor junior engineers and see your projects delivered in the field.

n

RPEQ is highly regarded but not essential. We support experienced engineers working towards registration.

The Role

n

You'll lead the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, taking responsibility for technical outcomes, project delivery and client relationships.

n

Your role will include:

n

n
- Leading civil design and project delivery from concept to construction
n
- Providing technical leadership, design certification and peer review
n
- Managing project scope,



budgets, programs and resources
n
- Preparing and administering contract documentation, including AS 2124, AS 4000 and Minor Works
n
- Undertaking site inspections and providing construction-phase support
n
- Working directly with clients, contractors and stakeholders
n
- Mentoring graduate and developing engineers
n
- Ensuring designs and projects comply with relevant Australian Standards, Austroads, TMR MRTS, QUDM and local government requirements
n

About You

n

You'll be a confident engineer who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and seeing projects through to completion.

n

You'll have:

n

n
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) – Washington Accord accredited
n
- 5-7 years' experience in civil infrastructure design and delivery
n
- Experience across roads, drainage, earthworks and/or slope remediation
n
- Robust knowledge of Austroads, TMR MRTS, QUDM and relevant Australian Standards
n
- Experience managing projects, clients and contractors
n
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
n
- Current Australian driver's licence
n
- RPEQ, or eligibility and willingness to work towards RPEQ
n
- Some travel to remote project sites may be required.
