Job Description
EGroup Protective Services Group Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Data Centre Security Officer to join our team in Brisbane. This role provides security services to our valued client at a premium location and as a Data Centre Security Officer you will play a vital role in protecting the safety and assets of our customers.

What you'll be doing
n
Customer Experience Management
n
Manage the end-to-end customer access experience.
n
Administer the ticketing system, including approving, reviewing, and updating access requests (times, dates, contacts, scope of works, equipment movement forms, and more).
n
Manage delivery tickets, including receiving and dispatching items for multiple departments and customers.
n
Assist with loading dock operations, including use of walkie stackers and pallet jacks.
n
Review and validate access levels via the customer portal and grant access accordingly.
n
Confirm induction status and issue inductions where required.
n
Follow the Security Operations Manual to ensure compliant access control while maintaining a strong customer focus.
n
Act as key holder for customer racks and provide access in line with the authorised access matrix.
n
Support Facilities with staging room housekeeping, including rubbish removal.
n
Complete monthly customer reporting (rack maps, power monitoring data, access logs, and more).
n
Manage inbound calls, including NOC overflow during business hours and all after-hours calls
n
Systems Management
n
Monitor CCTV systems to ensure cameras are operational, correctly positioned, and recording
n
Liaise with internal teams, operate and navigate key systems and identify and resolve system issues
n
Communicate access procedures and requirements clearly via phone, email, intercom, and in person.
n
Assess after hours calls and resolve without escalation where possible.
If an escalation is required evaluate the requirement and alert the correct department as per standard procedures
n
Create and manage customer/contractor profiles, photo capture and card creation.
n
Raise incident reports for any abnormalities or security concerns.
n
Patrols & Monitoring
n
Conduct scheduled patrols (visual and physical) in line with site and customer requirements using QR patrol systems.
n
Identify and report issues such as alarms, unusual smells, or abnormal equipment noise on customer or critical infrastructure and escalate appropriately.
n
OH&S; Walk arounds & checklists
n
What we're looking for
n
Minimum of 2+ years'experience in a similar role
n
NV1 clearance (Highly Desirable) or willing to obtain
n
Emergency Management/Response Experience
n
Knowledge of Fire Control Panels, Access Control and CCTV systems
n
An understanding of WH&S; and the ability to identify & manage risks
n
Ability to work in a team environment
n
Vigilance, proactive and situational awareness
n
Intermediate level with Microsoft suite of products including outlook, word and excel desirable
n
Ability to be able to communicate with multiple stakeholders across various backgrounds
