Job Description

We are looking for a Chef /Cook or Kitchen all-rounder to join our fun and quick paced Café/Bakery in Bella Vista. Our Café specializes in authentic house made bagels; all hand rolled and baked fresh every day with a luxurious menu to complement our bagels, which are the staple on our menu. We also provide an array of much-loved menu items from house made Gourmet Pizza's, Sausage rolls, Salads and so much more.

Cook duties and responsibilities

The general duties of this role include working closely in our kitchen with other kitchen staff, such as kitchenhands and chefs, following recipes, working closely with various dough forms, hand rolling, boiling, baking, chopping, seasoning and preparing food, and creating simple dishes for multiple diners simultaneously.



The daily tasks also include ensuring all food is fresh and stored hygienically and is maintaining our high quality standard at all times.

Some of the duties and tasks this role will be responsible for are detailed but not limited to the below:

- Setting up workstations and operating kitchen equipment

- Measuring and weighing ingredients
n
- Following recipes and set menus
n
- Working with dough, hand rolling bagels and pizza dough, boiling, baking, grilling, and frying; fish, meat, vegetables and other foods
n
- Food preparation to support the food and juice menu
n
- Presenting and garnishing dishes
n
- Adhering to kitchen hygiene and safety standards
n
- Maintaining a clean workspace at all times
n
- Monitoring stock levels
n
- Keeping up with cooking techniques and methods
