About the Company
We are currently seeking an experienced 1st Class Sheet Metal Worker to join an established and highly regarded specialist metal fabrication business based in Sydney's Upper North Shore.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking to work on high-end, bespoke projects rather than repetitive production work.
The business specialises in precision fabrication using copper, zinc, aluminium, brass and other specialist metals, with projects spanning major commercial developments, high-end residential, heritage and specialist construction.

About the Role
Working from the company's Upper North Shore workshop, you will be responsible for the precision fabrication of bespoke metal components, working closely with an experienced team of tradespeople and technical staff.
A key focus of the position is light-gauge and thin-gauge precision sheet metal fabrication, with materials commonly below 2mm thickness.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Cutting, folding, bending and forming light-gauge sheet metal
- Precision fabrication of bespoke metal components
- Working with copper, zinc, aluminium, brass and other specialist metals
- Reading and interpreting technical, fabrication and shop drawings
- Measuring, marking and setting out materials accurately
- Operating guillotines, folders, presses and other sheet-metal machinery
- Producing flashings, trims, cappings, gutters, folds and other components
- Performing detailed hand fabrication and finishing
- Working from measurements, drawings and specifications
- Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
- Preparing completed components for installation
- Working closely with supervisors, project managers and installation teams
- Maintaining a safe,



clean and organised workshop

About You
We are looking for a qualified 1st Class Sheet Metal Worker with strong hands-on fabrication experience and a genuine focus on quality.
Ideally, you will have:

- Relevant Sheet Metal Worker trade qualification
- Experience with light-gauge / thin-gauge sheet metal fabrication
- Strong precision fabrication and finishing skills
- Ability to work with materials below 2mm thickness
- Ability to read technical and fabrication drawings
- Excellent measuring and setting-out skills
- Experience operating sheet-metal machinery
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Reliable and professional approach to work

Highly Desirable Experience
Experience with any of the following will be highly regarded:

- Copper
- Zinc
- Aluminium
- Brass
- Standing-seam systems
- Specialist roofing components
- Metal cladding
- Bespoke sheet-metal fabrication
- Heritage work
- CNC machinery
- 3D models or detailed fabrication drawings

Candidates with strong light-gauge, thin-gauge or precision sheet-metal fabrication experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
