An opportunity is now available for an experienced Customer Service & Administration Assistant to join one of their established retirement communities in Jolimont on a permanent part-time basis.
Description
Reporting to the Village Manager and Assistant Village Manager, you will provide professional and effective customer service and administrative support across the day-to-day operations of the village.
As a key point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and professional environment while assisting across reception, administration and resident support. The position is responsible for supporting a professional, courteous and efficient village services operation.
This is a varied and people-focused role that will suit someone who genuinely enjoys helping others and brings a kind, patient and empathetic approach to their work.
Opportunity:
- Permanent part-time position
- 30 hours per week
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
- Standard hours of approximately 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing friendly and professional reception and customer service support to residents, visitors and contractors
- Responding to resident enquiries face-to-face, over the phone and via email, ensuring appropriate follow-up and assistance
- Providing general administrative support to Village Management, including maintaining records, registers, filing systems and documentation
- Supporting incoming and outgoing residents, including new resident orientations, key handovers and general administrative coordination
- Managing telephone and email enquiries, incoming and outgoing mail, meeting documentation and general reception requirements
Profile:
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience within administration, reception and/or customer service
- Previous experience within retirement living, aged care or a similar community-focused environment will be highly regarded
- Intermediate Microsoft Office and strong general computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A kind, patient and empathetic approach with the ability to communicate professionally with a diverse range of people
- Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail, with the ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain one with the cost covered by the employer
