Senior Analyst – Corporate Tax l Melbourne

As a Senior Analyst within the Corporate Tax team, you will be involved in both compliance and advisory work, supporting a broad portfolio of clients ranging from large multinationals and listed entities to privately owned businesses. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax solutions, while continuing to build your technical capabilities across a wide range of tax areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review corporate income tax returns for a variety of entities
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and draft technical advice and position papers
- Assist in the preparation of tax effect accounting calculations and work papers
- Support the delivery of corporate tax compliance and advisory engagements
- Work across key tax areas including capital gains tax, fringe benefits tax, transfer pricing, and withholding tax
- Contribute to the delivery of internal training sessions and knowledge sharing initiatives
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and high-quality deliverables
- Assist with more advanced tax matters such as tax consolidation, structuring, and due diligence
- Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and regulatory requirements
About You:
You are a motivated and detail-oriented tax qualified with a passion for problem-solving and continuous learning. You enjoy working in a team environment but are equally comfortable taking ownership of your work and managing competing priorities. With strong communication skills and a proactive mindset, you are eager to take the next step in your career and gain exposure to more complex tax matters.
Key Requirements:
- 2–3 years’ experience in corporate tax or a similar role within professional services
- Strong understanding of core tax concepts and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Desirable:
- Progress towards or completion of CA or equivalent qualification
- Double degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or Law with an Accounting major
- Exposure to advisory work or complex tax engagements
