HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR | REMOTE TASMANIA
Seasonal Role | Immediate Start | Work Until Mid-May with Possible Extension | Ideal Start Date 7th September
Are you an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor with strong attention to detail, excellent cleaning standards and the ability to lead from the front? A hands-on prospect is available at a unique tourism property in Remote Tasmania, combining onsite cabins, camping facilities, a restaurant, cruises and tours. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working as part of a small team and is comfortable taking responsibility for both the day-to-day housekeeping operation and supervisory duties.
THE ROLE
This is a genuinely hands-on position where you'll work alongside a small housekeeping team to ensure guest accommodation and shared facilities are presented to a consistently high standard.
You'll need to be organised, reliable and confident supervising while still getting stuck into the cleaning yourself. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to work efficiently in a remote environment where everyone contributes to the overall operation.
THE PACKAGE
- Casual Position
- $39.13 per hour Monday–Friday
- Weekend penalty rates apply
- Free accommodation – own room in shared staff house
- Meals not provided – cooking facilities available in staff accommodation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Service and clean onsite accommodation, including cabins and cottages
- Make beds and clean bathrooms to a high standard
- Complete general cleaning and laundry duties
- Clean common areas, including the restaurant, camp facilities and amenity blocks
- Undertake housekeeping supervisory responsibilities
- Help coordinate and support the housekeeping team
- Maintain excellent presentation and cleanliness standards
- Work cooperatively as part of a small, hands-on team
- Ensure all areas are guest-ready and maintained to a high standard
ABOUT THE PROPERTY
The property caters to guests staying in cabins and camping areas, as well as visitors enjoying the onsite restaurant and a range of cruises and tours.
During the summer months, there can be up to 17 staff onsite, creating a close-knit working environment where flexibility and teamwork are important.
REMOTE LOCATION – WHAT TO EXPECT
This is a peaceful wilderness setting and a great fit for someone who genuinely enjoys the outdoors, nature and a quieter lifestyle.
Please note:
- No pets permitted onsite
- No mobile phone reception
- Internet is available
- No television reception
- Access is via sealed roads, or pickup can be arranged from the closest airport
If you're an experienced housekeeper or supervisor who takes pride in maintaining high standards and would enjoy working in a beautiful, remote Tasmanian environment, this could be an excellent seasonal opportunity.
Previous housekeeping experience is essential, with supervisory experience highly regarded.
