About the role:

We currently have an opening for a casual Counsellor to join our Allied Heath team at Lady Davidson Private Hospital in North Turramurra. It is part of the Healthscope group of hospitals.

Our 115 inpatient bed hospital provides multidisciplinary specialized rehabilitation across various case-mixes including orthopaedics, oncology, neurology, cardiac, general medical and reconditioning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive counselling services to inpatients and day patients
- Deliver excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning and evidence-based practice
- Participate in program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department, supported by the Allied Health Manager
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and professional development programs, working parties and committees to have your say in the service hospital provides
- Flexible hours - able to accommodate school or alternative hours for the ideal candidate

About us:

Lady Davidson Private Hospital is a leading private rehabilitation facility in North Turramurra, Sydney. The hospital has 115 inpatient beds and a busy day patient program. Both inpatient and day patient programs are based on an interdisciplinary team approach where all team members play an integral role. The major case mix groups are orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, and reconditioning, as well as palliative care and general medical.

Essential Qualifications





- Appropriate tertiary counsellor qualification
- Minimum of 1-year post-graduate experience in a hospital setting
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound organisational and time management skills
- Evidence of participation in continuing education
- Awareness of Quality Improvement and Occupational Health and Safety / Infection Control policies and procedures
