Being in a business support role at Australia Post means helping our people deliver for every Australian. Just like our Posties, you’re still the people behind every parcel. Whatever your team or role, you’re helping grow our people, grow our business and making a lasting impact on the Australian community. You’ll find a culture of connection in our great people and the flexibility to balance work with life outside of it.
About the opportunity
Join a pivotal transformation program that will help shape the future of People & Culture at Australia Post. In this initial 12 month Fixed Term Contract the HCM Processes Owner, you’ll play a key role in defining and designing future-state HCM processes and solutions across Core HCM, Payroll, Time & Attendance, and Data & Reporting. Working closely with senior stakeholders, solution architects and delivery partners, you'll influence critical design decisions and help deliver a simpler, more sustainable and employee-focused HCM experience.
You'll also
- Lead the end-to-end delivery and quality assurance of process mapping, functional design and gap assessment activities across the HCM transformation program.
- Guide and support a team of Business Analysts to map current-state and future-state processes, ensuring outputs are evidence-based, decision-ready and aligned to program objectives.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce risk and improve the employee experience, while maximising the use of standard SAP SuccessFactors capabilities.
- Partner with program leaders, solution architects and external delivery partners to ensure alignment, traceability and integration across HCM workstreams.
- Provide strategic advice on design options, trade-offs and implementation considerations, helping to shape a viable and sustainable future-state HCM solution.
About you
You're a team-oriented HCM Process Owner who thrives in complex transformation environments and enjoys bringing people together to solve problems. You balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, and are confident influencing decisions through evidence-based recommendations. Passionate about continuous improvement, you're motivated by creating simpler, more effective people experiences while leading teams through change in line with Australia Post's values and culture.
You'll also have
- Demonstrated experience leading process design, business analysis or transformation teams within large-scale HR technology or HCM programs.
- Strong understanding of HR, Payroll and Time & Attendance processes, systems and associated compliance requirements.
- Recent hands-on experience delivering SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP) implementations or major transformation initiatives.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence outcomes across senior stakeholders, technical teams, vendors and implementation partners.
- Experience using contemporary process and transformation methodologies and tools, such as SAP Activate to drive process excellence and business outcomes.
- Knowledge of enterprise HCM environments, including future-state design, functional solution development, gap assessments and technology roadmaps.
What else is in it for you?
- Bring your whole self to work every day and be met by a welcoming bunch of people who respect and support you
- Versatile and hybrid working arrangements, like the opportunity to work from home two days per week
- Exclusive team member discounts and offers for more cash in your pocket, evolving policies for flexible working, leave types and access to health and wellbeing resources
All walks, one route
It takes a lot of us to deliver for every Australian – and it’s important to us that our people behind the parcels reflect the people receiving them. We come from all walks. Different backgrounds, different ages, different genders, different sexualities and different abilities, but we all believe in the same purpose.
We welcome people all ages, genders and backgrounds – including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, LGBTQIA+ communities, and refugees. We’re a Disability Confident Recruiter, committed to making our hiring process and workplace inclusive and barrier-free. We’re also working hard to remove bias and build a gender-equitable experience for everyone who joins us. If you’ve got questions about accessibility, reach out to our Diversity & Inclusion team at [email protected] or on 03 8737 9415.
