The Role:
This is an opportunity to work across a dynamic project environment where priorities can change, activities may not always follow a traditional sequence, and strong coordination across multiple stakeholders is critical to successful delivery.
The role will suit an experienced planner who can combine strong planning capability with a practical, flexible approach.
You will develop and maintain integrated project schedules and support the delivery of complex decarbonisation initiatives from planning through to execution, commissioning and handover.
Depending on the project stream, you may be involved in HME asset delivery, OEM/vendor coordination, resource planning, project interfaces, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational readiness.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Developing and maintaining master and detailed project schedules
- Resource and/or cost loading schedules
- Supporting resource planning across multiple project workstreams
- Undertaking critical path, milestone and what-if analysis
- Monitoring project progress, trends, productivity and key milestones
- Reviewing and integrating contractor, supplier and vendor schedules
- Maintaining schedule integrity and undertaking schedule health checks
- Supporting project reporting, forecasting and performance analysis
- Supporting change management and understanding the impact of changing priorities
- Participating in schedule workshops, risk reviews and project meetings
- Coordinating interfaces across engineering, procurement, contractors, suppliers and operations
- Supporting project delivery through execution, commissioning and handover
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify constraints and develop practical solutions
Required Experience:
- Significant experience in project planning, scheduling or project controls
- Strong experience working across complex projects with multiple interfaces
- Advanced Primavera P6 capability
- Experience with resource and/or cost-loaded schedules
- Strong understanding of project controls and schedule management
- Experience analysing contractor, supplier or vendor schedules
- The ability to understand and respond to project change and shifting priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A practical and team-oriented approach to problem solving
- The ability to work autonomously while operating effectively within a broader project team
Experience across mining, heavy equipment, infrastructure, energy, construction, renewables or major projects will be highly regarded.
For HME-focused workstreams, experience with heavy mobile equipment, OEM/vendor coordination, asset delivery or commissioning will be particularly advantageous.
