- Level 4 | Salary: $84,445 - $90,798, plus superannuation
- A 9-day fortnight work pattern applies to this role.

The opportunity

We are in the market for two experienced Service Desk Officers. The roles are for 6 months but with possible extensions available.

Our ICT team at the City manage devices and workstations, network infrastructure, integrations and provide support for a myriad of staff queries and requests for IT support. We need two experienced and approachable IT Service Desk officers to support our current business as usual and project work. Experience in ticket triage and update is critical, as is your friendly and approachable manner. In this role you are not just administrating incidents, you are juggling competing priorities, different technologies and supporting differing business units with very different support needs. You will join an established team, who are currently also delivering project work.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- A current unrestricted C class National driver’s licence
- A good understanding of how Service Desk fits with overall IT service management support across an organisation
- Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to ask the right questions
- A breadth of knowledge and technical skill across different IT and communication devices and an interest in new technologies
- A can-do customer focused attitude and a genuine wish to support our staff with their IT requirements
- Ability to learn quickly about local government services and the specific tools we use
- A background in triaging, completing and documenting service tickets
- Knowledge of the basics of cybersecurity
