This is a senior Emergency Department registrar role suited to Emergency Advanced Trainees and/or PGY5+ doctors with recent ED nightshift lead and critical care experience. The successful doctor will work across a mix of day, afternoon, evening and overnight shifts, with in-charge responsibility on nights. With no solo nights and strong senior support, this is a great opportunity for an experienced ED registrar looking for a well-supported senior locum role.

Launceston General Hospital is a regional referral hospital and ACEM training site, providing broad exposure across a range of emergency and specialist services.
The ED has multiple FACEMs onsite from 0800–2400, with FACEM support available overnight, and key subspecialties including a 24/7 cardiac catheterisation lab and ECMO-capable ICU. Located close to Launceston Airport, the hospital offers a well-supported clinical environment in one of Tasmania’s most appealing regional cities.
