HOST – qualia / Hamilton Island

qualia is seeking an experienced and polished Host to join our luxury Front Office team at Hamilton Island. This is a guest-facing role where first impressions matter. You'll welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, deliver seamless arrivals and departures, and ensure every stay is effortless and memorable. With attention to detail and intuitive service, you'll help deliver the exceptional experience that sets qualia apart.

Your Role

As a Host at qualia, you'll provide personalised and attentive service throughout the guest journey. You'll coordinate arrivals and departures, assist with room allocations and guest requests, and work closely with other departments to ensure every detail is taken care of to qualia's exacting standards.

Where you’ll make an impact

- Deliver professional and personalised guest arrivals and departures
- Provide attentive and intuitive service for guest enquiries and requests
- Coordinate room allocations, reservations, and changes with precision
- Maintain accurate guest records, accounts, and payment information
- Anticipate guest needs and provide tailored assistance throughout their stay
- Liaise with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure seamless service




- Assist with VIP arrivals and special guest requirements
- Create memorable experiences through genuine and personalised service
- Uphold qualia's luxury presentation and service standards

What we’re looking for

You're an experienced hospitality professional with outstanding presentation, confidence, and discretion. You thrive in a guest-focused luxury environment and take pride in anticipating needs, building genuine connections, and delivering exceptional service.

To be successful, you’ll need:

- Minimum 12 months' experience in Front Office or luxury hospitality (Essential)
- Current open/unrestricted Driver Licence held for 3+ years (Essential)
- Eligibility to obtain a Restricted Driver Authorisation (Essential)
- Certificate III, IV, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma in Hospitality (Desirable)
- Knowledge of Front Office systems and procedures (Desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Impeccable personal presentation and grooming
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
