Summary:

Baptist World Aid Australia is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our charity and voluntary sector efforts in North Ryde, New South Wales. This temporary, casual role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful community projects while gaining valuable experience in the charity sector. Volunteers will play a crucial role in supporting our initiatives and making a positive impact in the local community.

Responsibilities:

When you volunteer with Baptist World Aid, you enable us to provide more support to the programs and initiatives of our international partners in 24 countries around the world.

We’re looking for willing, talented people who’d like to volunteer their time to various tasks. You might support mail outs, advertising, marketing or help with correspondence in our child sponsorship programs. Whatever your skill set, there is a volunteer role for you!

- Support administrative tasks, mail-outs, and correspondence for our programs
- Assist with marketing and communications materials
- Support fundraising activities and campaigns




- Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and contributions
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Qualifications:

If you are Sydney based and available one or two days per week (between Tuesdays and Thursdays), we would love you to consider joining our Sydney based team – working from our North Ryde Office.

If you are available two or three days a year, why not join our Campaigns Volunteer Talent pool and volunteer occasionally at a time that suits you.

- No formal education required; a passion for community service is essential
- Previous volunteer experience is an advantage but not mandatory
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and adapt to recent tasks

If you are outside NSW or want to work remotely, join our Remote Volunteering team for activities that do not require an on-site presence.
