Freshline Tasmania is a growing Tasmanian meat wholesaler supplying quality meat products to customers across Australia.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Account Manager to join our team and take ownership of customer relationships, account growth and day-to-day sales support.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with customers, understands the importance of great service and is motivated by growing existing business and developing new opportunities.

About the Role

As a Sales Account Manager, you will be a key link between our customers and the Freshline team.

You will build and maintain strong customer relationships, understand customer requirements, identify opportunities to grow accounts and ensure customers receive a consistently high level of service.

You will work closely with Customer Service, Operations, Warehousing and Distribution to make sure customer requirements are understood and delivered.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and develop strong, long-term relationships with assigned customers.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and increase sales.
- Maintain regular communication with customers and understand their changing needs.
- Respond to customer enquiries and provide timely, professional solutions.
- Prepare and follow up quotations and sales opportunities.
- Assist with customer pricing, product information and recommendations.
- Manage customer orders, standing orders, special orders and changes.
- Follow up shortages, out-of-stock products, substitutions and order discrepancies.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Coordinate special customer requirements and sample products.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are delivered.
- Maintain accurate customer, order and account information.
- Assist with customer forecasting and account planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer service and sales processes.

About You

We are looking for someone who:





- Has experience in sales, account management or customer service.
- Is confident communicating with customers by phone, email and in person.
- Builds strong relationships and genuinely enjoys working with customers.
- Has a commercial mindset and looks for opportunities to grow sales.
- Is organised, reliable and has excellent attention to detail.
- Can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Is comfortable handling customer complaints and finding solutions.
- Has good computer skills and can learn new systems quickly.
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively across the business.
- Is not afraid to ask questions and take ownership of issues.

Experience in the meat, foodservice, food distribution or wholesale industry would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
