Bay Family Dental is looking for a friendly and reliable Dental Assistant/Dental Receptionist to join our supportive team on a casual basis.
This is a varied role combining dental assisting with reception responsibilities. It would suit someone who enjoys working with patients, contributes positively to a team and is comfortable helping across different areas of the practice.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Is warm, professional and confident when communicating with patients
- Is organised and able to manage competing priorities
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is dependable and works well within a team
- Takes pride in providing a high standard of patient care
- Is comfortable working across both reception and dental assisting
- Has good computer and administrative skills
Previous dental experience is preferred, and experience using Dental4Windows will be highly regarded.
The role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing chairside assistance during a range of dental procedures
- Preparing treatment rooms and maintaining appropriate stock levels
- Cleaning,
sterilising and maintaining dental instruments
- Following infection-control procedures and practice protocols
- Welcoming patients and assisting with their enquiries
- Answering telephone calls and managing emails
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
- Processing payments, accounts and health fund claims
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Coordinating treatment appointments and following up patients
- Completing general reception and administrative duties
- Using Dental4Windows for daily practice-management tasks
- Supporting the dentists and wider practice team as required
