Due to a very busy 2+ years ahead Modern Building Company is seeking highly skilled and experienced Carpenters or Sub contractors to join our team in Hobart, Tasmania. This full-time position is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated skilled to contribute to the construction of high-quality residential and commercial projects.
What you'll be doing
- Working on some exciting architectural projects
- Read and interpret architectural plans and technical specifications to guide the building process
- Be on top of all aspects of carpentry and some knowledge of sub trades also
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Collaborate with other trades to coordinate the overall construction schedule
What we're looking for
- Relevant trade qualification in carpentry
- Certificate III in Carpentry is required
- Experience as a Carpenter, ideally in the residential building industry
- Minimum 4 years experience in carpentry required
- Excellent at reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to overcome complex construction challenges
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and lead by example
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Australian work authorisation is required for this position
