We are seeking a qualified and experienced Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team in Canberra. This is a full time position working 38 hours per week, delivering high-quality tiling services across residential projects.
Key responsibilities
- Measure and mark surfaces to determine tile layout
- Prepare wall and floor surfaces (cleaning, levelling, repairing)
- Cut tiles using hand tools, tile cutters, wet saws and grinders
- Mix and apply adhesives, mortar and cement
- Lay and set tiles ensuring correct alignment, spacing and finish
- Apply grout and clean finished surfaces
- Install waterproofing membranes in wet areas
- Remove old tiles and perform repair work as required
About you
- Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling
- Mandatory training in Silica Awareness, Asbestos and a White Card
- Minimum 2 years' experience in tiling
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards for tiling and waterproofing
- Ability to read and interpret plans
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
