We are currently seeking a skilled, passionate, and highly organised Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team and help us maintain our high culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure efficient food preparation by organising the necessary utensils and equipment.

- Study recipes thoroughly and gather all required ingredients before proceeding to cook, ensuring adherence to established cooking times and quality standards.

- Effectively delegate tasks among kitchen staff to maintain smooth coordination throughout the cooking process.

- Communicate daily specials to wait staff and accommodate customer requests by making necessary modifications to recipes.

- Pay close attention to the presentation of dishes, consistently aiming for high standards of appeal.

- Regularly monitor the freshness of food items, promptly discarding any expired ingredients to maintain quality.

- Foster creativity by experimenting with recipes, proposing new ingredients,



and contributing to menu development.

- Uphold strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including maintaining cleanliness and hygiene procedures.

- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries to uphold proper stock levels, completing the comprehensive process of food preparation in a well-coordinated and efficient manner.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

- Trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery or a related field, or commensurate work experience in a similar role.

- Proven experience of at least 2-3 years as a Cook in a busy, commercial kitchen.

- Demonstrated hands-on experience with a variety of kitchen tools and equipment.

- Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques, including baking, pastry, and various cooking methods.

- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, effectively managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

- Robust understanding of food hygiene and safe work practices.

Pay: $57,402.85 – $86,514.51 per year
