The Opportunity

As a Fire Electrician, you'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, fault finding and repair of a wide range of fire systems across commercial, industrial and critical infrastructure sites throughout Perth.

You'll play a vital role in helping protect lives, assets and businesses by ensuring fire safety systems operate at the highest standard and remain compliant with Australian Standards.

Key Responsibilities

You'll be involved in:

Installation, programming, fault finding and repairs of fire detection systems, fire panels and EWIS systemsInstallation, modification and maintenance of: FDCIEEWCIEFFCP systemsPump interface equipmentEmergency and exit lightingAuxiliary service interfacesIntegration with BMS and HVAC control systemsConducting site surveys and recommending compliant fire protection solutionsDiagnosing and resolving technical faults efficientlyCompleting service reports, maintenance records and compliance documentation accuratelyParticipating in an on-call roster and attending emergency call-outs when requiredBuilding solid relationships with customers through professional service deliveryMaintaining company vehicles, tools and equipment to a high standardSupporting continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Licences

Certificate III in ElectrotechnologyCurrent WA Electrical Workers LicenceCurrent Driver's LicenceWhite Card (Construction Induction Card)

Highly Desirable





Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection & TestingPrevious fire detection / EWIS experience Experience with fire detection and EWIS systemsEmergency Alarm & Evacuation trainingStrong understanding of Australian Standards relating to fire systemsWorking at HeightsEWP EWP high-risk licenceExperience with commercial fire panels and fault finding

Experience

Minimum 5 years' field experience, ideally within the fire protection industryStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsExperience servicing and commissioning fire protection systemsAbility to work independently and manage competing prioritiesExcellent customer service and communication skillsCommitment to safety, compliance and quality workmanship
