What you'll do As the Manager, Monitored Medicines Policy & RTPM Team, you will provide strategic leadership to a specialist team responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating evidence-based policies, frameworks and legislative reforms relating to monitored medicines, including medicinal cannabis. You will drive transformational change through business improvement initiatives, workforce capability development and the cultivation of a positive, high-performing team culture, while ensuring the delivery of secure, accountable and high-quality services. Leading complex policy and legislative projects under the Medicines and Poisons Act 2019, you will monitor emerging research, trends and best practice to inform regulatory and policy improvements and provide expert advice, reports, briefings and submissions to senior leaders and key stakeholders.
Working collaboratively across the Department, Hospital and Health Services, government agencies, healthcare providers, regulatory bodies and national organisations, you will build and maintain strong strategic partnerships, lead high-level consultations and represent Queensland Health in complex negotiations and discussions. You will also oversee governance, compliance, risk management and legislative obligations relating to the regulation of scheduled medicines in Queensland, while mentoring and supporting staff to achieve organisational objectives and deliver customer-focused outcomes.
