The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our growing commercial team based in Bibra Lake, WA.
The Procurement Officer will play an integral role in the successful delivery of Guidera O’Connor’s numerous projects delivering one of WA’s most essential services – water. The role is primarily responsible for the end-to-end procurement process and support of material planning activities essential to meet project requirements.

More specifically you will:

- Support the project teams to plan for the procurement of the goods and services required to meet project requirements
- Manage the procurement process (with input from project managers and subject matter experts) from acquisition planning to contract execution, including development of procurement strategies, evaluation of bids, analysis of costs, clarifications and contract negotiations
- Offer strategies and solutions to project teams to ensure supplier costs and delivery times are managed effectively and work closely with project teams to mitigate supplier or supply chain risks.
- Support purchasing activity including the issue of purchase orders as directed by project teams
- Work with contract administrators to ensure that Head Contract terms and conditions are reflected in supplier contracts where appropriate, and risks are reasonably allocated.
- Act as the intermediary between engineering, commercial and external suppliers throughout all procurement processes

As our ideal candidate you will have:

- Proven experience and understanding of procurement principles
- Procurement experience in a similar industry.
- Solid analytical skills with good attention to detail




- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple demands and priorities.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical procurement practices.
