The Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our growing team based in Bibra Lake, WA. Reporting to the Commercial Manager- Delivery (West), you will play a key role in the administration, negotiation and management of a diverse range of water infrastructure projects. The purpose of this role is to ensure contractual obligations are complied with, contracts (head and sub) are administered efficiently and commercial risks are identified and escalated promptly.

This is a genuine opportunity for an experienced CA to grow with a high performing team that is proudly delivering projects for one of the most essential services in our dry region, Water.

More specifically you will:

- Conduct all contract administration activities, such as to identify contract management requirements, ensure contractual obligations are met in a timely manner, monitor contract securities and insurances and completion of contract close-out documentation
- Draft and prepare variations and all correspondence including notices of delay, extensions and other claims (including payment claims) for approval in accordance with the Authorities and Obligations Matrix, whilst maintaining the change register and other systems and procedures
- Proactively assess commercial and contractual risks and opportunities, identify and implement appropriate controls and escalate actual or potential issues or disputes to Project Manager and to the Commercial Manager.
- Provide support and guidance to the project teams on contractual interpretation and rights and obligations under the relevant contract
- Draft, review, negotiate and administer subcontracts (from RFQ to closeout) to ensure appropriate flow down from Head Contract, ensuring that risks gaps are minimised
- Build strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders to drive commercial alignment
- Maintain accurate project documentation and contractual records





As our ideal candidate you will have:

- A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying or a related field
- Significant experience as a Contracts Administrator on civil or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of contract administration, SOPA, cost control and subcontract management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to build and maintain solid stakeholder relationships.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities.
- Attention to detail and an ability to identify risks or inconsistencies in contracts.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality coupled with strong problem-solving and an analytical mindset.
