Company Description The Communication Clinic is an independent practice providing speech pathology services to children and adults across the Maitland, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Cessnock, and Upper Hunter regions. Role Description This is a position for someone who loves their clinical work, wants to work in a supported environment with opportunities to continue to develop and apply their skills where they will truly be appreciated.
The Senior Speech Pathologist position is ideally a full time position (this is flexible for the right candidate with a min 24hr week), primarily in office role (based from home options are created around community visits) with our main office based in Green Hills/East Maitland, NSW.
We are seeking an experieced professional interested in expanding their skills with people with compelx communication needs, complex swallowing support needs and voice disorders scross the age range.
We have an extremely well resourced clinic with AT providers selecting us to provide long term AAC device loans. We will be completing further FEES clinics and expanding our services to ensure people with a disability have access to the objective assessments they need in a setting where they feel secure.
We are expanding our voice accoustic assessment so we can provide objective evidence based basline and progress measures.
There are ample opportunities for professional development and to assist with quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology with current CPSP status with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Strong clinical reasoning, case management, and documentation skills, including the ability to develop and monitor evidence-based treatment plans.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, we’re a small team so working as a team member is essential.
- Commitment to ethical practice, cultural safety, and person-centered care, including working respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Sound time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload and meet reporting and administrative requirements.
- Experience with or willingness to learn use of clinical software, digital documentation systems, and AI tools required.
- Current driver’s license and ability to travel within the local regions as needed for client appointments or outreach services.
