About the role:

The Risk and Resilience Analyst supports the effective implementation of the organisation's risk management framework and strengthens risk capability across business areas. The role provides advice on identifying, assessing and managing strategic, operational and compliance risks, and contributes to improving governance and internal controls. Working closely with stakeholders, the Risk and Resilience Analyst supports risk reporting, analysis and coordination, and helps embed a proactive, consistent and informed approach to risk across the organisation.

The Risk and Resilience Team provides advice to strengthen governance, risk management and internal controls across the organisation. The team supports risk assessment processes and works with business areas to embed effective control frameworks.

Partnering closely with the broader Audit, Risk and Integrity Unit, the team supports organisational accountability, promotes continuous improvement and helps ensure compliance with legislative and policy requirements.

About you:

- Reviews and proposes changes to guidelines which support the application of the department's risk management framework




- Resolves operational problems consistent with risk management framework
- Prepares reports, briefs and correspondence on complex issues that impact program or organisational level priorities
- Researches and applies advanced theoretical knowledge in risk management to operational problem solving
- Provides specialist advice based on field of expertise

Qualifications/Specialist Expertise:

- Risk management qualifications such as CPRM / CPRA etc and membership of the RMIA is desired but not required.
- A sound understanding of the Victorian health system and knowledge of the department and its operating processes and information systems is desirable.

- An understanding of risk management frameworks, risk assessment methodologies and contemporary governance practices within complex public sector environments is desirable.

- Other relevant tertiary qualifications.
