Steele Steel is a manufacturing business regionally based out of West Wyalong and Wagga Wagga NSW.
Well known for our quality & reputation in agricultural machinery, we're looking for an experienced General Labourer / Trade Assistant with knowledge in the fields of welding and or Auto Elec trades to work out of our Wagga Wagga Yard and from time to time will travel to our Factory site, & conduct local deliveries.
The individual will need to be capable of a range of tasks including capabilities in building livestock feeders, following diagrams and assembly instructions, offer trade assistance to walk in enquiries where required, experienced in welding and basic 12V electrical works is ideal but onsite training is available, this will be a Full time Position however hours can be discussed with the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess the following skills and abilities.
- Run errands and collect supplies / parts as needed and ordered
- Maintain and upkeep Wagga Display Yard
- Communicate & deal with supplier reps for parts
- Clean down and regularly inspect machines and work vehicles
- Assist with Shelving sales, have knowledge of EFT machine
- Assist with any general walk in sales enquiries
- Assist in preparing any agricultural implements for sale & customer handovers
- Can weld vertically, horizontally and overhead.
- Be able to weld various metal thicknesses
- Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment.
- Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding, bolting or riveting.
Ideal working requirements includes:
- Certificate III in Engineering (Welding Fabrication) or equivalent qualification would be ideal
- Ability to work in a team environment & independently
- Drivers licence
- HR Truck Licence (ideal but not necessary)
- Forklift licence (ideal but not necessary)
- Welding background or experience would be ideal
- Basic 12V auto electrical works
