Business Development Manager — Build Relationships That Last | Aftercare

This is a genuine new-business role with real earning upside with a SaaS technology start-up company. You'll be building a book from the ground up with real ownership and autonomy, opening new relationships across retail, hospitality, fitness, childcare and healthcare facilities maintenance, plus scheduled servicing contracts. Success is measured by whether a client is still glad they said yes twelve months on.

Key responsibilities

- Opening current relationships across retail, hospitality, fitness, childcare and healthcare facilities maintenance, plus scheduled servicing contracts — calls, networks, tenders, the full mix
- Running an honest pipeline in CRM — what's real, what isn't, and why
- Representing Aftercare at industry events, client meetings and on the road (interstate travel is part of the role)
- Working closely with operations and account management so every relationship you start is one we can actually stand behind

About you

- A proven track record in B2B business development, with relationships you can point to that lasted well past the first sale
- A wealth of existing contacts across at least one — ideally more — of our target sectors, so you can hit the ground running by reaching out to well-established industry connections from day one
- Steady, patient negotiation — you'd rather walk away from a bad-fit deal than water down the work to win it




- Genuine comfort starting conversations from scratch — phone, email, or in person — without needing a script to hide behind
- Quiet confidence: you'd rather let a track record speak than oversell in the room
- A current Australian driver licence and willingness to travel interstate regularly
- Confidence with CRM systems, the Microsoft Office suite, and everyday AI platforms like Claude and ChatGPT
