Gudjagang Ngara li-dhi Aboriginal Corporation is seeking passionate Aboriginal Family Caseworkers to join our Family and Wellbeing Stream across the Central Coast.

Working within our Family Support and Safe and Strong Families programs, you'll support Aboriginal children, young people and families to build on their strengths, overcome challenges and remain connected to family, culture and community.

What you'll be doing

- Building strong relationships with Aboriginal families
- Supporting families to achieve their goals and improve wellbeing
- Advocating for children, young people and carers
- Connecting families with services and community supports

- Working alongside stakeholders to create positive outcomes
- Maintaining case notes and documentation

About you

You'll be someone who

- Builds trust and rapport easily

- Leads with empathy, respect and cultural awareness
- Enjoys working directly with children, young people and families




- Can balance relationship-building with professional casework responsibilities

- Works well independently and as part of a team

How to Apply

Essential requirements

- Provide testimony to your connection to Aboriginal Community, Culture and Country

- Qualifications in Community Services, Social Work, Welfare, Child and Family Studies, or a related fields (or working towards)
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of child protection, early intervention, and family support service systems.
- Current NSW Driver Licence

- Working with Children Check
- National Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)
