The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Retail Grocery Account Manager to join our high-performing and collaborative Sales Team.

You will manage and grow our most important retail accounts including Woolworths, Coles and Aldi, strengthening these partnerships and driving key growth initiatives for both brand and private label.

Our Marketing and Project Management teams will assist you to leverage key market insights and drive revenue via brand awareness programs and a strong NPD pipeline tailored to each account.

Working out of both our recent state of the art production facility in Pakenham and Clayton , VIC you will be required occasionally travel interstate.

Key Responsibilities

- Build trusted relationships with our key retail customers and distributors
- Work closely with marketing team to identify category and market insights
- Leverage insights to drive strong NPD pipeline and targeted customer strategies
- Lead preparation and negotiation of customer range reviews
- Negotiate pricing and promotional plans to drive profitable, incremental growth.
- Collaborate with retailer private label teams to maximise existing private label contracts, as well as identify, negotiate and secure new contracts
- Work closely with the Maltra Project Management team to co-ordinate and deliver private label NPD in full and on time.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, working closely with customer and internal demand planners, procurement and operations teams




- Collaborate with Sales Support, Operations and Finance teams to ensure industry best customer service and DIFOT
- Achieve agreed KPIs, mainly call cycles, increased ranging, sales and GP targets

What We're Looking For

- Proven FMCG National Account Management experience, with demonstrated success driving new business
- Confident, clear communication style. Ability to tailor your message, present and deliver compelling sales pitches and close the deal
- Strong analytical capability, with experience using Quantium and Unify
- CRM experience essential, preferably Salesforce.
- Resilient, with a proactive mindset and willingness to take initiative
- Strong organisational skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Availability to occasionally travel interstate
- Tertiary qualification in Business or a related discipline preferred
