Role Description This is a full time, on-site Accountant role based in the Greater Sydney Area. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing tasks. The role involves preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and cash flow reporting, and supporting taxation compliance for a range of client structures.

The Accountant will work closely with senior advisors to deliver accurate, timely financial information, respond to client queries, and help improve financial processes and controls. Participation in internal reporting,



documentation of accounting procedures, and collaboration with team members to meet client deadlines are key components of this position.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in financial accounting and reporting, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
- Experience with taxation and compliance, such as BAS, GST, income tax returns, and knowledge of relevant Australian accounting and tax regulations.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Background in payroll processing and cash flow management, with the ability to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients in a professional setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accreditation (e.g., CA or CPA) or working towards it is highly regarded.
- Prior experience in public practice or business services accounting is beneficial, particularly with diverse client structures such as SMEs and SMSFs.
