We're looking for an Organisational Development Specialist to join our People and Culture team, with a strong focus on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

n

This is a practical, hands‐on role where you'll help create a workplace where people feel included, valued and able to thrive. You'll drive DEI initiatives, facilitate our Leader Induction Program, contribute to policies and work on projects that improve the experience of our people and leaders. In doing so, you'll support the people who make our purpose possible: helping keep kids safe, heal from trauma and lead happy lives.

Key Responsibilities

n

A key part of your role will be driving our DEI work. You'll build on existing initiatives, identify opportunities for improvement, and bring new ideas to life.

n

You'll be an active member of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group, collaborating with an engaged team that has already achieved a great deal. You'll also contribute to the planning and development of our next RAP.

n

You'll facilitate our Leader Induction Program, develop and review People and Culture policies and resources, and contribute to projects across culture, leadership, and organisational development.

n

It's an exciting time to join us as we begin integrating the Sanctuary Model, a trauma-informed framework, across Act for Kids and Youthrive. This work will strengthen how we collaborate, support one another, and create safe, connected environments.

- Drive and deliver DEI initiatives, building on what's working and bringing new ideas to life.

- Play an active role in our RAP Working Group, including helping plan and develop our next RAP.
n
- Facilitate our Leader Induction Program and contribute to learning and development.
n
- Develop and review People and Culture policies, guidelines and resources.
n
- Coordinate and contribute to People and Culture projects.
n
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or another relevant discipline.
n
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role across diversity, equity and inclusion, learning and development, culture, capability and organisational effectiveness.
n
- Strong understanding of contemporary DEI principles, practices and emerging trends, and the ability to translate these into meaningful outcomes.
n
- Experience developing and facilitating people and culture training, such as leader induction, organisational values and mindful communication.
n
- Experience developing and updating People and Culture policies and procedures through a DEI and trauma-informed lens.
n
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
n
- Ability to research emerging trends and use workforce data and evidence to develop practical solutions.
n
- Valuable working knowledge of People and Culture practices, employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including handling confidential and sensitive matters.
n
- A collaborative, values-led and adaptable approach, with a commitment to an inclusive and positive workplace culture.
n




- Eligibility to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required), including holding or obtaining required checks (Working with Children Check or professional exemption).
n
