You can hang a ducted system straight, no leaking flares or drains, and leave the roof space tidy.
If you are currently on on wages or subbing on price-per-job; this ad is for you.
Every installer ad promises an immediate start and good rates, then you turn up and the gear’s not on site and nobody’s ordered the returns. Here’s what we’ll actually put in writing.
The pay is real and it’s written down. $40 to $55 per hour depending on experience, plus super, paid weekly. Cert II with solid residential install experience puts you in the band. Years of direct residential ducted install experience puts you at the top of it. No guessing games at the interview. Bring your qualifications and experience and we’ll tell you your number on the spot.
On wages somewhere else? You know how it goes. The pay review keeps sliding to after the busy season. The winter weeks get thin. The promises stay verbal. Here the band is in the ad, your number is agreed before you start, and the work holds year-round. We’d rather keep a good installer busy through winter than find a current one every spring.
Subbing on price-per-job? The rate looks good until you count what it actually costs you: the van, the rego, the insurances, the unpaid quoting, the gaps between jobs, and the month the builder goes quiet. Then there’s chasing your own invoices. Here the number on the clock is the number in your pay, every week, all year, with super on top. We carry the overheads. You just install.
Install isn’t the ceiling here. We’re a Daikin dealer with a busy service division which we are growing running alongside installs. Our service techs are on $45 to $60 an hour, and when we hire for service we look inside first. Get your Cert III, show us tidy installs and a good head for how systems work, and there’s a real path from the roof space to the service van. Plenty of companies promise room to grow. We can show you the ad.
You’re never left holding the mess. You’re supported by an experienced installation supervisor who sets up the job, orders all the materials, and is there to back you while you’re on site. No FIFO, no nights away, no downsizing when the season slows. Sleep in your own bed and coach the under 10s if that’s your thing.
What you’d be doing
- Installing ducted reverse cycle systems in new homes and changeovers: rough-ins, fit-offs, duct runs, zone motors and controllers
- Wall split installs when the schedule calls for it
- Commissioning and handover: leaving the system running right and the customer knowing how to drive it
- Leaving the house cleaner than you found it. Tidy work is our reputation
- You will be the Lead Install Technician on jobs with a Helper for you.
You’ll need
- Cert II or Cert III in Air Conditioning / Refrigeration
- ARCtick refrigerant handling licence, White Card, WA driver’s licence
- Good residential installation experience. Ducted is a big plus
- Pride in straight duct runs, no leaking flares or drains and neat penetrations. The roof space is where we find out who you are
What you get
- $40 to $55 per hour + super, paid weekly, overtime available
- A real path into service work. Our service techs are on $45 to $60 an hour and we look inside first when we hire
- Ongoing training and upskilling on Daikin equipment, with pay reviewed as your skills grow
- Fully maintained vehicle (for lead technician or installer), fuel card, uniform and phone
- A quality-first workload. We would rather do the job once, properly
How to apply
One spot. Hit Apply with your resume. No cover letter needed, though a short note about the tightest roof space you’ve ever worked in won’t hurt. Subbing and thinking about coming across? Apply the same way and the conversation stays confidential. Every application gets a reply within two business days, and the whole process is one phone call and one workshop visit. No agencies.
