The Allied Health team at JewishCare (Vic) is growing! We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate allied health assistant to join our expanding multi-disciplinary team.

At Jewish Care Victoria, you’ll join our Active Living Services team supporting older adults through an evidence-based, holistic approach that prioritises continuity of care, connection and long-term outcomes. This role offers variety, autonomy and the chance to truly connect with your clients - helping them stay active and independent in the community they love.
As part of our collaborative multidisciplinary team, you’ll deliver physiotherapy services across our community sites - including manual therapy, exercise therapy and group programs - all with a strong focus on healthy ageing and empowering clients to live well.
We have an onsite clinic at Caulfield and Windsor and onsite client gym.
What you will do
- Responsible for the delivery of individual or group programs designed by Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists
- Intervention may comprise one-on-one and group programs in line with a “Healthy Ageing” perspective under the direction of an Allied Health Professional
- Responsible for the management of Allied Health referrals in the Community Aged Care division including internal referrals, external referrals, management of the MyAgedCare portal and wait list management.
- Provision of administrative support to the Allied Health team
- Promote independence and functional abilities for all JewishCare (Vic) with a solid emphasis on health promotion
- Communicate client outcomes through attendance at relevant clinical/team meetings and documentation in the client data base.
- Supervision of Allied Health Assistants/Exercise Leaders/students
- Promotion and understanding of cultural diversity in care services
You will have:
- Minimum Cert 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent working towards Cert 4 in Allied Health Assistance
- Highly developed communication skills
- Demonstrated experience as allied health assistant within aged care, either community or residential setting
- Demonstrated experience running group programs
