Role Description This is a remote, contract role for allied health professionals in occupational therapy, speech pathology, dietetics, physiotherapy, and exercise physiology. Day-to-day tasks include conducting assessments, developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions tailored to individual client goals. The role involves maintaining clear clinical documentation, collaborating with clients, families, and support teams, and liaising with funding bodies such as NDIS, Medicare, and other third-party providers.
Professionals are expected to engage in health promotion, contribute to service improvement,
and participate in clinical supervision or peer consultation as appropriate. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to deliver services via telehealth and other remote modalities are key components of this position.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including transparent documentation and the ability to explain clinical information in accessible terms.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills in client-centered care, relationship building, and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health principles and safe work practices relevant to community and remote service delivery.
- Sound understanding of Medicine and Health Promotion concepts, including preventive care, wellness education, and evidence-based practice.
- Recognized tertiary qualification in occupational therapy, speech pathology, dietetics, physiotherapy, or exercise physiology, with current professional registration or membership as applicable.
- Experience working with NDIS participants and familiarity with relevant funding frameworks (e.g., Medicare, private health, aged care).
- Competence in telehealth service delivery and digital record-keeping, with reliable access to appropriate technology.
- Commitment to ethical practice, ongoing professional development, and working inclusively with people from diverse backgrounds.
