About Jema Clinic

Jema Clinic is an accredited, doctor-owned general practice operating across two locations in Maryborough, Queensland. We provide comprehensive healthcare services, including general practice, family health, chronic disease management, mental health care, women’s and men’s health, immunisations, skin cancer services, medicinal cannabis and NDIS services.

We are seeking an experienced Practice Supervisor or senior medical administration professional who is ready to relocate to the Fraser Coast and progress towards practice management.

About the Opportunity





Working alongside our Executive Practice Manager and Principal GP, you will help coordinate the clinic’s daily operations, lead the administrative team and support efficient patient and doctor workflows across both Jema Clinic locations.

Unlike a corporate medical centre, Jema Clinic is proudly doctor-owned and operated. Our owners are approachable, actively involved and present within the practice.

Key Responsibilities





- Coordinate the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic
- Support effective patient care and doctor workflows
- Lead, mentor and support reception, nursing, allied health and administrative staff
- Assist with staff recruitment, induction, training and performance management
- Maintain compliance with RACGP Standards, privacy requirements, workplace health and safety and accreditation obligations
- Monitor administrative systems, online bookings and operational performance
- Work with the owners to improve efficiency, marketing and business growth
- Promote a positive, professional and patient-focused workplace culture
- Work across both Jema Clinic locations as required

About You

To be successful, you will have:

- Previous experience in practice supervision, practice management or senior medical administration/reception within an Australian general practice
- Strong knowledge of Medicare billing, PRODA and general practice operations
- An understanding of RACGP accreditation and healthcare compliance requirements
- Experience using Best Practice, MedicalDirector or similar clinical software
- Strong leadership, communication and conflict-resolution skills
- The ability to build effective relationships with doctors, staff and patients
- A proactive, organised and solution-focused approach
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment
- Financial literacy, with experience using Xero or similar accounting software highly regarded
- Willingness to relocate to Hervey Bay or the surrounding Fraser Coast region
