This is a outstanding opportunity for a mechanically minded candidate who enjoys operating machinery, troubleshooting faults and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role would suit someone with a Toolmaker, Fitter/Machinist or similar mechanical background , or someone with strong machine operating and troubleshooting experience.
Hours
Monday to Thursday 7am to 3:30pm & Friday 7am to 1:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust and operate production machinery
- Operate and monitor wire machinery
- Identify and troubleshoot machine faults
- Make machine adjustments and equipment set-ups
- Conduct quality inspections and record production data
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs
- Monitor machine performance and production output
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
- Follow all WHS, PPE and quality requirements
- Report hazards, incidents and equipment concerns
About You To be successful, you will have
- Minimum 1 year machine operating experience
- Minimum 1 year wire machine operating experience
- Solid mechanical aptitude
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with machine adjustments and equipment set-ups
- Ability to identify and resolve machine-related issues
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Understanding of WHS and quality standards
Highly Regarded
- 3+ years' manufacturing or production experience
- Certificate II/III in Manufacturing, Engineering or related field
- Toolmaker or Fitter/Machinist background
- Experience operating machinery in a high-volume production environment
