Working in the Customer & Digital line of business you will be a key resource in the delivery of a significant programme of work to refresh, consolidate and re-think all of the ASX digital properties.

You will be working with some of the latest contemporary technology, with the focus on delivering a cloud based digital services platform, based on a microservice, event driven architecture.





What You'll Do:

- Perform design and development of software solutions within the digital engineering team
- Develop operational and system support tools including documentation to enable effective maintenance and support of applications
- Contribute to the health of the code base by conducting effective code and process reviews
- Apply agile frameworks, techniques and processes to deliver incremental value
- Provide estimates and contribute to sizing of continuous improvement backlog

Solution Design

- Contribute to the design of digital solutions across the portfolio
- Work with architecture and solution engineering to define technical options and agree solutions, in line with the digital roadmap and architectural guidelines
- Share design skills across the organisation

Quality & Best Practice

- Perform the design and development of software solutions according to the Engineering Processes and Standards, with the goal of providing reliable, reliable and operationally sound applications that meet business requirements
- Consistently apply tools, standards, methods and processes in developing and supporting solutions to ensure that quality applications are developed with consistent maintainable code which supports risk and compliance management
- Review code to deliver quality driven, robust and production ready code that is compliant and secure
- Apply a continuous improvement mindset to standards, methods and processes

What You'll Need:





- Proven experience in microservice and API development using event driven architecture covering aspects such as service segregation, API modelling and versioning.
- Minimum 3-5 years as a Java engineer, preferably within a digital team, with experience across tools and frameworks such as JAVA, Springboot, JPA, Messaging, GraphQL, React
- A good understanding of CI/CD tooling and DevOps processes, Google Cloud / AWS Build would be great.
- A good understanding of security principles with exposure to Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Sound knowledge of system analysis methodologies and tools
- Experienced in both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies and ways of working
- Familiarity with application support procedures
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, resilient, great attention to detail
- Passion for excellence and a continuous improvement mindset
- Be a change agent who embraces and champions new ideas

And if you have some of this even better!

- Experience in / with these tools / technologies / methodologies would be an advantage:
- Kubernetes, GKE and other cloud technologies (AWS/GCP)
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools i.e. ELK
- Integration technologies and toolsets such as Apache Kafka, Tibco ESB or similar
- Experience or exposure to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Salesforce/CRM, ForgeRock Identity and Access Management (IAM) or Marketing technologies and platforms.
- Experience with various front-end technology – React / View
