School Crossing Supervisor – Canterbury/Bankstown Local Government Area

Transport for NSW is looking for a casual School Crossing Supervisor to support safety at school crossings in the Canterbury/Bankstown Local Government Area. The role involves supervising traffic at school crossings, ensuring safe pedestrian access, and maintaining visibility of crossings during school hours.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise crossing activities for school zones during shift hours (8:00‑9:30 AM and 2:30‑4:00 PM).
- Maintain safety standards and visibility of crossings for students, parents, teachers, and motorists.
- Remain present and vigilant in all weather conditions, communicating effectively with local communities.
- Record incidents or potential hazards and report them promptly.

About You

- Community minded, reliable, and willing to work in varying weather.
- Good communication skills and alert to potential dangers.




- Able to work 1‑hour or longer shifts on a versatile schedule as required through school terms.
- Must be aged 18 or over at the time of appointment.

Requirements

- Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and Health Assessment.
- All training, uniforms, and equipment will be provided.
- Superannuation and hourly rate provided.

Employment Details

Location: Bankstown, NSW
Salary: $33.83 per hour (inclusive of superannuation)
