Leading Hand Roofer
n Location: South East Queensland - Brisbane Office
n Salary: Up to $65 per hour + Company Car
n Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
n Hours: Monday to Friday

The Opportunity An established roofing and construction business is looking for an experienced Leading Hand Roofer to join its growing South East Queensland team.

n

Based from the Brisbane office, you will take the lead on roofing projects across the region, working hands-on alongside the crew while coordinating day-to-day site activities, maintaining quality standards and ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced roofer ready to step into a leadership position, or an established Leading Hand looking for a stable long-term role with a strong pipeline of work.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead and coordinate roofing crews across projects throughout South East Queensland
n
- Remain hands-on with roofing installation, repairs and replacement works
n
- Coordinate daily site activities, labour and workflow
n
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
n
- Read and interpret plans, specifications and project requirements
n
- Complete commercial and residential roofing works, including re-roofing and renovation projects
n
- Liaise with supervisors, project managers, subcontractors and clients
n
- Monitor workmanship and rectify quality issues
n
- Assist with training and mentoring less experienced roofers
n
- Ensure WHS procedures and site requirements are followed
n
- Manage materials, tools and equipment required for each project
n
- Provide regular progress updates to management
n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who has:

n

n
- Strong roofing experience across commercial and/or residential projects
n
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Supervisor or senior roofer highly regarded
n
- Strong knowledge of metal roofing, re-roofing, flashings, gutters and associated roofing works
n
- The ability to confidently lead and coordinate a roofing crew
n
- Excellent understanding of workplace health and safety
n
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
n
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
n
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
n
- Construction White Card
n
- Working at Heights ticket
n
- Roofing trade qualification desirable but not essential for candidates with extensive industry experience
n
