We're seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Trainee Battery Recovery Technician to join the team in Campbellfield.

About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Site Manager and working closely with a Licensed Electrician, you'll receive comprehensive on-the-job training in the safe handling, energy recovery and dismantling of end-of-life battery systems.

- Recent Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics graduates
- Qualified apprentices looking to grow their technical career
- Trade or technical certificate holders seeking a new industry pathway
- Early-career professionals passionate about sustainability, EVs or renewable energy
You'll begin by supporting lower-risk operational activities and progressively take on more technical responsibilities as your training and competency develop.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting with the safe handling, de-energising and dismantling of EV and battery storage systems
- Supporting day-to-day processing, sorting and preparation of battery components
- Learning and following industry-leading safety procedures and risk controls
- Participating in structured training and competency development programs
- Supporting warehouse, logistics and equipment maintenance activities
- Contributing to process improvements within a growing operation
What We're Looking For
- Strong interest in electrical, mechanical, engineering or sustainability-related work
- Practical, hands-on mindset with good mechanical aptitude
- Commitment to safety and following established procedures
- Reliable, punctual and motivated to learn
- Ability to work effectively within a small, collaborative team
- Willingness to undertake employer-funded training and certifications
Highly Regarded
- Recently completed electrical apprenticeship
- Degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
- Electrotechnology qualifications (Cert II, III or IV)
- Exposure to renewable energy, DC systems, EVs or battery technologies
- Forklift licence, First Aid certification or Dangerous Goods experience
- Strong interest in sustainability and the circular economy
