Job Description

We're looking for a passionate and caring Educator to join our friendly team at Little Genius Academy in Concord. You'll work alongside our experienced educators to provide high-quality care and education for children, creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child feels valued, secure, and supported. You'll contribute to meaningful learning experiences, build positive relationships with children and families, and support the daily operations of the room while ensuring all practices meet relevant standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

- Supporting the day-to-day routines of the room, including feeding, sleeping, nappy changing, and providing responsive care for infants and toddlers
n
- Creating a warm, safe, and stimulating workplace that promotes children's wellbeing, learning, and development
n
- Assisting in planning and implementing engaging educational experiences based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
n
- Observing children's development and contributing to learning documentation and individual planning
n
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues through respectful and effective communication
n
- Working collaboratively with the Room Leader and the wider team to maintain high standards of care and education
n
- Ensuring all practices comply with the National Quality Framework (NQF), centre policies, and relevant legislation
n
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming learning environment
n
- Montessori-trained background is a plus.

What We're Looking For

n

n




- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
n
- Previous experience working in a long day care setting is highly regarded.
n
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning and development.
n
- A good understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
n
- A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude.
n
- Australian work rights are required for this position.
n
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required before commencement.
n
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training (or willingness to obtain) is desirable.
