Senior Cost Control Specialist – Perth CBD – Permanent Full-Time
n
Join Western Power's Transmission Growth team and play a key role in shaping the future of Western Australia's energy network. In this role, you will perform project cost control activities across a portfolio of projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, cost analysis and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Role in Action
n
Act as Western Power's project cost control specialist, providing cost forecasting, budget management, cost analysis and financial reporting across a portfolio of projects.
n
Manage project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting across a portfolio of complex projects.
n
Analyse cost variances, monitor performance trends, and provide insights to support informed project and commercial decisions.
n
Maintain accurate project forecasts, identifying and explaining any deviations from planned budgets and cost profiles.
n
Apply change control processes, assess cost impacts of scope changes, and ensure budget adjustments are appropriately managed and communicated.
n
Build effective relationships with project teams and stakeholders, providing clear reporting and supporting consistent cost management practices.
n
What Makes You a Great Fit
n
10 + years' experience in project cost control within a complex project environment.
n
Bachelor's degree in finance, Engineering, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
n
Strong experience in cost forecasting, budgeting, cost variance analysis and financial reporting.
n
Highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends,
investigate variances and provide clear cost insights.
n
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities in a changing setting.
