SALARY – $120,000 - $140,000 per annum, dependent on experience

My client is an established engineering business delivering a range of specialist projects. They are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team near Wollongong on a permanent basis.

n

The Senior Structural Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

n

n
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar Structural Engineering position
n
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
n
- Strong experience with structural design and analysis
n
- Highly skilled with structural analysis and design software
n
- Previous experience designing steel structures, frames, platforms and supporting structures
n
- Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, ideally AS 4100 and AS/NZS 1170
n
- Valuable theoretical engineering knowledge of structural principles, load calculations and design verification
n
- Experienced producing engineering drawings and technical documentation
n




- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
n
- Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets
n
- Able to work well individually as well as part of a team
n

The Senior Structural Engineer role will involve:

n

n
- Designing and analysing structural components and systems
n
- Performing structural calculations and ensuring designs meet relevant standards
n
- Producing and reviewing engineering drawings and documentation
n
- Working closely with mechanical engineers, manufacturing and other departments
n
- Supporting projects from concept through to production
n
- Liaising with manufacturing providers and external stakeholders
n
- Conducting design reviews and providing technical solutions
n
- Checking designs and drawings for sign off
n
- Creating required documentation for design and project reports
n
- Working in a small, multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
