Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Carpenter to join our site teams on residential projects across the Eastern Suburbs. This is a full time, ongoing position of 38 hours per week, based on site and reporting to the Site Manager.

Key responsibilities

n

Working from architectural, structural and shop drawings, plans and specifications, and setting out from them

n

Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling and joining timber and timber substitutes

n

Constructing and erecting wall frames, floor systems, roof frames and structural timber elements

n

Erecting and stripping formwork for concrete structures

n

Installing external and internal elements — cladding, linings, doors, windows, decking, stairs and balustrades

n

Fixing architraves, skirtings, joinery and internal fit‐out components to a high‐end finish

n

Ordering and taking delivery of materials, checking quantities against orders, and managing material handling on site

n

Carrying out repairs, remedial works and defect rectification

n

Operating and maintaining hand and power tools and site equipment safely

n

Working to the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, SWMS and site safety requirements

About you

n

Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220),



or an equivalent trade qualification or formally recognised skills

n

Demonstrated experience working as a carpenter in residential construction

n

The ability to read and set out from architectural and structural drawings without close supervision

n

A current NSW Construction Induction card (White Card)

n

A current Australian driver's licence and reliable transport

n

Your own basic hand tools

n

A working knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards and WHS obligations

n

Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work well in a site team

n

$80,000 - $90,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience
