As a Trainer & Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment to students undertaking the Certificate III in Individual Support qualification. You will create an engaging and supportive learning workplace while ensuring students develop the practical skills, knowledge, and confidence required to work effectively in the care sector.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective training for Certificate III in Individual Support
- Conduct theory and practical training and assessments
- Support students to achieve their learning and competency outcomes
- Provide constructive feedback and ongoing student support
- Maintain accurate training and assessment records
- Ensure training and assessment practices comply with relevant RTO and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate practical skills development, including simulated workplace activities
- Monitor student progress and identify additional learning support requirements
- Maintain current industry knowledge and professional development
- Contribute to continuous improvement of training and assessment resources
About you
- Certificate III in Individual Support or a relevant higher-level qualification
- A current TAE qualification or equivalent as required under applicable standards
- Relevant industry experience in aged care, disability support, community services, or individual support
- Previous experience as a Trainer & Assessor is highly desirable
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for teaching and supporting students
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current industry knowledge and a commitment to maintaining professional competency
